Well, I'm a fucking fiend when it comes to new music, so I'm constantly hunting new tunes (unlimited downloads FTW)
What kind of stuff have you been listening too of late? Maybe I can recomend something similar you're unfamiliar with?

I recently rediscovered Tegan & Sara, so that's the acoustic/rock chick stuff there. Iggy pop released this amazing new album called Preliminaries, which is like, french jazz or something, idek, but it's really good!
Battle for the sun, the new Placebo took me a WHILE, but I kinda got into it eventually. It might sound weird (coming from me) but I can also recomend Mandy Moore's new album, Amanda Leigh.

Hmmm.. what have I been listening too.. well.. Im having a total fucking mind blank.. I feel like I dont really listen to anything in particular anymore! Just random songs from here and there that catch my interest. I guess my tastes run mostly with the emo/punk side of things.. but I've also got a big streak of indie/indie pop that makes me love stuff like British India, The Ting Tings and Little Birdy.

I love Tegan and Sarah! What I've heard of them that is.. I dont have much of their stuff so perhaps I'll grab some more!

One of the best albums I've heard this year is Two suns by Bat for lashes. Would probably fall under the indie/pop/rock category you mentioned.

Tegan & Sara's best stuff (IMO that is) can be found on their albums So jealous & The con.

A friend gave me some stuff & she's actually really very good (nothing like that pop brat I remember from the 90's) Wild hope is also worth listening to!

Incidentally I went for a sift through my music folders too see exactly what Tegan and Sara songs I have.. and it turns out I have five albums including The Con and So Jealous! Awesome :D.

Ahh torrents FTW! Which client (program) do you use? I personally think utorrent is the best really, but i've heard good things about ares.

I think we use utorrent too.. it looks like kind of like an M to me on the icon, but Ben says it's supposed to be a u and it's a mathematics symbol or some crap lol. That site looks handy, thanks for sharing! <3

I've always been so turned off by the yeah yeah yeahs. Theres this one song that gets played at Shotz all the time called Gold Lion and I just HATE IT.. but I should probably give their new stuff a listen.. it's wrong too let one song form an opinion of a band!

I cant bring myself too listen to the new TBS album.. I miss Fred! I think I need to get over that because everyones telling me how good it is.. haha.

BRAND NEW! I LOVE BRAND NEW. They are easily my second favourite band of all time! I cried for three hours straight on the day they played at Adelaide big day out because I wasn't there. I feel like vommitting everytime I think about how close I was too buying a ticket and then deciding against it because they hadn't been announced in the line up yet! Argghhh :'(.

Hot Hot Heat.. hmm.. I've heard some of my friends talk about them. I've heard no not now played at jive before and I remember thinking it wasn't too bad! I shall investigate further. :3

Ahhaha Bayside.. my sister loves them and that always turns me off. But hearing someone close to my age like them is comforting.. I'll check them out too! :D

OMG. I MISSED THEM AT ADELAIDE TOO!!!!!

I have the WORST luck with Brand New. When they were touring with Blink 182, I went to the show JUST for them (didn't give a shit about Blink 182) and just as they came on stage... I fainted. :((((( My friend had to drag me out of the mosh pit and I was sick for the rest of the night skjghskjg.

And then with BDO, my parents had already booked the family to go on a cruise, so I had to miss them by ONE DAY. I tried skipping out on the cruise because BRAND NEW >>>>> CRUISE BY FAR but yeah... sigh =/

Ooooh actually I have heard of Senses Fail! Thanks to Guitar Hero haha! I really like the song on the game though so I'll have to check out more of their music :D

Omg that really sucks D:. I really wanted to go to that Blink show but I was too young and didn't have a job and by the time my parents finally agreed to buy me a ticket they'd fucking sold out. argh. I didn't actually know Brand New then so that helps me too feel slightly less cut about not seeing them there. :/

LOL ironically enough.. my all time favourite band is Blink 182! They were the first band that I was actually into and I grew up with their early random ska crap and them changing into what they are today was what evolved my music tastes.. so they'll always have a special place in my heart. 8)
